Q What makes the KODAK SMILE unique?
A The KODAK SMILE is the next generation of instant print technology. More than just a photo printer, the KODAK SMILE app comes packed full with editing features, filters, and augmented reality technology that brings your photos to life – literally.
Q Does the printer come with ZINK paper?
A Yes. The KODAK SMILE comes with a starter pack of ZINK paper, so you can get started right out of the box.
Q Is the KODAK SMILE App required in order to use this printer?
A Yes. The KODAK SMILE app must be installed on an Apple or Android device in order to edit, print, and share photos.
Q Do I need to replace the batteries?
A No. The KODAK SMILE comes equipped with a rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 40 prints on a single charge
Q How do I charge my KODAK SMILE Instant Digital Printer?
A To charge the battery, you will have to plug the provided micro USB cable into any wall adapter rated at 1 amp (not included). Using a computer or laptop to charge the KODAK SMILE is not recommended because it will significantly increase the charging time.
Q Is any type of paper compatible with this camera?
A The KODAK SMILE was designed to work only with KODAK ZINK Photo Paper. Other papers may be incompatible with this product.
Q How many sheets can I put in at once?
A You can load 10 sheets (one 10-pack) of KODAK ZINK Photo Paper at one time. Please see the section on Inserting Photo Paper in your full user guide to ensure paper is being loaded correctly (user guide can also be found here).
Q Is the KODAK SMILE App required in order to use this printer?
A Yes. The KODAK SMILE app must be installed on an Apple® (iOS) or Android™ device in order to edit, print, and share photos.
Q Can I print photos that are on my social media page?
A Yes. The KODAK SMILE app allows you to access photos from social media, so you can then edit, save, and print them.
Q Can I print photos from my camera roll?
A Yes. The KODAK SMILE app lets you edit and print pictures directly from your phone’s camera roll.
Q Why are my photos blank when they print?
A The KODAK ZINK Photo Paper may have been loaded upside-down. When loading the paper, ensure that the blue calibration sheet is at the bottom, and the rest of the paper is facing with the glossy side up.
OR
The paper may have been pushed too deeply inside the device. Remove the paper and replace it gently inside the compartment.
Q How do I reset the device?
A Use a pin to press the reset button, located next to the charging port.
